Zebra Families,
In the case of a government shutdown, we understand that it may create uncertainty for families who rely on SNAP benefits. We want to reassure you that your child's eligibility for free or reduced-price school meals will not be affected at this time. We remain committed to our promise that students will have access to warm, nutritious meals regardless of circumstances.
If your SNAP benefits are temporarily disrupted, your student will continue to receive meals based on their current eligibility status.
If your financial situation/household income has been affected by the shutdown, such as through SNAP benefits, furloughs, or layoffs, we encourage you to submit a Free and Reduced-Price Meal Application at any time. Your current eligibility will remain in effect until a new application is processed or until July 1, 2026, when the new application year begins.
To submit a new application, please visit your Infinite Campus Parent Portal > More > Meal Benefits or pick up an application at your school site.
For questions or assistance, contact the Claremore Public Schools Child Nutrition Office at 918-923-4243.
If you need additional resources outside of school, please reach out to your school counselor or school social worker. Claremore Public Schools is here to help and support your family in every way we can.
We will continue to stand beside our Zebra families during these uncertain times. Our commitment to keeping students nourished, safe, and our families supported remains our top priority.
