coach tim gregg coach of the year

Claremore’s historic season earns state-wide recognition. The Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association (OSSAA) has named Coach Tim Gregg the 2025 Boys Golf Coach of the Year, recognizing his leadership in guiding the Claremore Zebras to their first-ever state championship in boys golf last spring.

This well-earned honor shines a spotlight on both Coach Gregg’s passion for the sport and his team's unprecedented success. Under his direction, the Zebras made history on the course, demonstrating grit, precision, and mental toughness on the way to hoisting the state trophy.

Coach Gregg hails from Elgin, Oklahoma, where he graduated from high school in 2009. He went on to earn a degree in Fisheries and Aquatic Management from Oklahoma State University in 2015. After college, he turned his passion for golf into a profession, serving as an Assistant Golf Professional in Dallas and later Broken Arrow, developing players of all ages before making the leap into education.

In 2021, he joined the Claremore Zebra family as a teacher and multi-sport coach. While he enjoys all sports, he’s especially drawn to basketball, baseball, and, of course, golf.

Coach Gregg’s recognition from OSSAA marks a milestone in Claremore’s athletic history and sets a high bar for seasons to come. His leadership has built a program that competes at the highest level and also inspires future Zebra golfers to dream big.

Congratulations, Coach Gregg! Your dedication to excellence, both on and off the course, continues to raise the standard for Claremore athletics.🦓⛳ #CPSZebraPride
