🔴 What advice would you give your freshman self?

"Enjoy every moment, high school really does go by faster than you think."

🔴 What has the journey to this honor taught you about yourself?

"This journey has taught me that hard work and dedication pay off and that I am capable of much more than I thought."

🔴 What does this accomplishment mean to you?

"This honor means a lot to me because it reflects the countless hours of hard work I have put into my education."

🔴 What was the hardest part (challenges) you had to overcome to achieve this honor?

"Having to balance the workload from AP/honors classes and my extracurriculars, like dance. Throughout high school, there were lots of late nights spent doing homework after long practices. At the time, it was hard to push through, but looking back, I’m proud of myself for doing so."

🔴 What are you most proud of in your high school career?

"I am most proud of winning first place overall for my senior solo at the Platinum dance competition. It was an honor to represent my studio, but I’m also proud to see my hard work, passion, and love for dance finally get that kind of recognition."

🔴 Looking back, what does being a Zebra mean to you?

"Being a Zebra means being part of a community. Claremore truly knows how to show up for people, whether it’s supporting a large group or a single individual. This community is always willing to lend a hand whenever someone is in need."

🔴 What ELEMENTARY staff member made the biggest impact on your life and how?

"Unsurprisingly, the person who has made the biggest impact on my life is Mrs. Douthitt from Catalayah, or as I know her, Mom. She was my kindergarten teacher, and I absolutely loved being in her class. She made learning so much fun, and I definitely give her credit for sparking my dream of becoming a teacher myself."

🔴 What JUNIOR HIGH staff member made the biggest impact on your life and how?

"I had a lot of memorable teachers in Junior High, but the two staff members who made the biggest impact on me were Coach McKinnon and Coach Davis. They were my cross-country and track coaches, and we had so much fun every practice. They showed me the importance of having a good time, but also putting in hard work to succeed."

🔴 What HIGH SCHOOL staff member made the biggest impact on your life and how?

"Again, unsurprisingly, the staff member from CHS who has had the biggest impact on me is Coach Douthitt, or as I know him, Dad. Having him as a teacher has been one of my favorite parts of senior year. I look forward to his class every day, and I can honestly say that I have learned so much from him. AP Government is a hard subject, but he does a great job of breaking it down and making sure everyone succeeds."
