đź”´ What advice would you give your freshman self?
"I would say to enjoy the experience and stress less. High school goes by quickly, and not everything needs to be taken so seriously. It’s important to work hard, but also to make memories."
đź”´ What has the journey to this honor taught you about yourself?
"I’ve learned that growth comes from pushing through difficulties, and that I can achieve my goals if I stay focused and committed."
đź”´ What does this accomplishment mean to you?
"Being named salutatorian means a lot to me because it represents all the hard work. There were times it wasn’t easy, but I stayed committed and kept pushing myself. It reminds me that my effort truly matters."
đź”´ What was the hardest part you had to overcome to achieve this honor?
"Honestly, math. At some point I was just hoping it would start making sense. Studying comes in close second though."
đź”´ What are you most proud of in your high school career?
"I’m most proud of making All-State for band and placing nationally in TSA because both represent my commitment to my passions inside and outside the classroom."
đź”´ Looking back, what does being a Zebra mean to you?
"Being a Zebra means being part of a community that has helped shape who I am from pre-K all the way to senior year, and it also means accomplishing goals together. There’s a sense that everyone is working toward something bigger than themselves, and we succeed as a community rather than as individuals."
đź”´ What ELEMENTARY staff member made the biggest impact on your life and how?
"Ms. Hartsock made the biggest impact on my life. She was kind to everyone and created a classroom where students felt welcomed and valued. I remember looking forward to going to school just for her class."
đź”´ What JUNIOR HIGH staff member made the biggest impact on your life and how?
"Mrs. Lohmann had the biggest impact on my life. She helped me truly understand math when it once felt difficult and helped me gain confidence during a major transition in my life."
đź”´ What HIGH SCHOOL staff member made the biggest impact on your life and how?
"My band directors Mrs. Acord, Mr. Smith, and Mr. Downey, my dad, Mr. Riggs, Ms. Dooley, and Mr. Isenbart all played important roles in shaping my experience and supporting me through high school."

đź”´ What is the ONE thing you absolutely take with you to college?
"My work ethic, because it has helped me push through challenges and achieve my goals."
đź”´ Anything else you'd like to add about your experience at CPS?
