Claremore Public Schools is proud to announce that students have earned the Oklahoma Seal of Biliteracy for the first time in district history. Established by the Oklahoma State Department of Education in 2020, the Seal of Biliteracy recognizes students who demonstrate a high level of proficiency in English and one or more additional languages. The distinction is added to a student’s official high school transcript and signifies readiness for college, careers, and global engagement.
Students earning the Seal of Biliteracy must demonstrate proficiency through state-approved assessments at the Intermediate-Mid or Advanced-Low level in another language in addition to English.
The following seniors earned the distinction this year:
Addison Allensworth
Yocelyn Ramos
Citlali Carrillo
Asia Ianes
Taylor Phillips, the first student to meet qualifications for Claremore Public Schools
Anastasiia Denysenko
Gavin Owens
The district also recognized underclassmen who have already met the qualifications and will officially receive their medals during their senior year:
Mia Linares
Raul Perez
Lluvia Diaz Madrigal
Jasmin Sandoval
Angelique Ruiz-Sandoval
Alexssa Salazar
This achievement represents not only academic excellence but also our students' ability to connect and communicate in an increasingly global world. We are incredibly proud of these students for their dedication and hard work.
The Seal of Biliteracy program reflects Claremore Public Schools’ continued commitment to preparing students for future success through rigorous academics and meaningful learning opportunities.
