NJROTC Cadets at a registration table

Our NJROTC Cadets are coordinating the drive as part of our effort to exceed 400 donations this school year and reclaim our 5A State Blood Drive Championship. Faculty support, through donating and encouraging students and parents to participate, can make a tremendous difference.

Claremore High School’s NJROTC cadets are calling on the Zebra community to roll up their sleeves for a blood drive on Monday, November 16, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The drive, held in partnership with Our Blood Institute, is part of a schoolwide effort to collect more than 400 blood donations this school year and reclaim Claremore’s 5A State Blood Drive Championship. Students, staff, parents and community members are encouraged to participate.

Claremore High School has a strong history of supporting local patients. According to Our Blood Institute, CHS has hosted 72 blood drives and collected 5,566 donations, impacting as many as 16,698 local lives. Those efforts support blood needs at facilities including Hillcrest Claremore, AirEvac Claremore and the Cherokee Nation Claremore Outpatient and Emergency Health Center.

This year, NJROTC cadets are building on that tradition by coordinating drives and encouraging more people to give. The November 16 drive has a goal of 100 participants, making community involvement an important step toward the school’s annual goal.

Every student who donates will be entered into a raffle for the following prizes:

  • A $100 Reasor’s gift card

  • A Reasor’s gift basket

  • A $20 Carl’s Coney Island gift card

  • A $10 Braum’s gift card

  • Five individual prizes of one slice of pizza from Quick and Easy

Faculty and staff can help by donating and encouraging eligible students and their families to participate. Community members can support the cadets by signing up and sharing the invitation with others.

Each donation brings Claremore closer to its goal while helping meet the needs of local patients. Join our NJROTC cadets on November 16 and help bring the championship back to Claremore.
