What has playing Zebra softball meant to you? Playing as a Zebra has been an absolute joy! It means so much to me that I can play for my school and not just represent me and my team my whole school.

What is your favorite memory of playing Zebra softball? I was going to stay with my amazing teammate and my amazing coaches. Before this even committed to staying, it was a dream come true seeing that happened for the first time in over seven years.

What is your favorite quote? Talent is nothing without dedication.

What is your go-to song to get you pumped up for a game? My favorite song to get me pumped before a game is Here Comes The boom by Nelly

Do you have a pregame ritual, if so, what is it? I don't really have a pregame ritual; I normally keep to myself and try to get myself mentally ready.

What is something your coach told/tells you that you will always remember? "Stay out of your head" or "get out of your head"... I'm always in my head.

What has playing Zebra softball meant to you?  Playing Zebra softball has meant learning how to be a good teammate and work hard for a goal. Being a part of the varsity softball team for four years, I learned the value of commitment and teamwork. Any team, no matter the sport, needs cooperation and chemistry to succeed. I was able to learn the value of hard work and be a part of this team. Being in multiple APs, clubs, and sports, I had to work hard to achieve success. I am so glad I got to be a part of Zebra softball because not only did it teach me valuable life lessons, it also introduced me to friendships that will last me a lifetime.

What is your favorite memory of playing Zebra softball? Listening to music on the way to games on Coach Short's bus, and then there was that time he got hit in the back of the head with a ball by McAlister at regionals… not funny at the time, but we can all laugh about it, now.

What is your favorite quote? "Play hard, play fast." -the one only Robert Schornick every time I get out of the car or leave the house for a game.

What is your go-to song to get you pumped up for a game? Anything Beyoncé or Megan Thee Stallion gets me in my zone. When I'm in my feels, I'll listen to Billy Joel. Sometimes, I'll even listen to Disney music or the Hairspray soundtrack. It really just depends on my mood.

Do you have a pregame ritual, if so, what is it? Yes, I listen to Countdown by Beyoncé while I put my cleats on. It's very invigorating; I highly recommend it.

What is something your coach told/tells you that you will always remember? Well, one time G2 (Sami Garroutte) told us not to worry about errors because we're all just little specks floating on a rock, and it didn't matter in the grand scheme of things. Or something like that, she said it a while ago so I don't remember it exactly.

What has playing Zebra softball meant to you? My favorite part about playing softball for Claremore is the friendships and memories I develop throughout the years.
