During STEM club, students were challenged to design and make the tallest card tower. 🃏 Many teams modified their original plan to create a more stable tower. The biggest one (before falling) was 20 inches tall!! 📏

Students in Mrs. Harrison and Mrs. Cochranes class learn about research techniques using google. 💻 Mrs. Troyer walked them through identifying key words, using the Google tools function and how to identify reputable websites!

Coach Faulconer introduced 5th grade students to Fruit Loop Tag! Players kick the hula hoop ⭕ and try to avoid getting hit with the “fruit loop”. If you get hit, you go directly to the cereal bowl 🥣to do warm-up exercises like crunches and sit-ups. The perfect mix of competition and exercise 💪🏋️♀️

Talk about a day filled with SNOW much fun!
Roosa kindergarten students got to stack snowballs, paint a snow family, create a STEM object with marshmallows and paint a snowman. They even ended their day with a massive snowball fight in the gym! ❄️⛄❄️⛄❄️⛄

3rd grade students are learning about emperor penguins! 🐧 To enrich their learning about how penguins feathers have a waxy coating to repel water, students colored penguins with wax crayons and then sprayed them with water to see how the wax repels the water!💧

After reading different books about resolutions, each student in Mrs. Howell's class chose ONE word that they want to implement more of this year! What a great way to visualize goals and aspirations for 2023!!

Mr. Isenbart’s high school TSA students created STEM activities and stopped by to share them with the 5th graders!!
The TSA students were divided into groups and each 5th grade class had a different lesson. They made rockets that flew, cars that zoomed and separated oil from water. STEM is FUN!
