Our new School Resource Officers (SRO), Officer Hagen and Officer Turman have been learning their way around the schools. They have joined in on Rise and Shine, lunches, dismissal and even visited some classes. They are excited to get to know the kids and the staff and we are just as excited to have him!!

For 17 years, NJROTC has made it their mission to lead our students in honoring those who served and those currently in service.
The Colors posted, the National Anthem performed, the bell rang, the 9/11 remembrance video played and Taps echoed as 1300 students and guests watched with reverence.

5th grade students at Roosa went on a shopping spree! Students were given challenges and had to spend a certain amount of money without going over. They worked in teams to find solutions to see what they could buy. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

3rd graders learned the POWER of reading with a catapult building activity! Students were given everything they needed to build a catapult except for directions!
The only rule: they had to use every piece given. After a few minutes of trying to figure it out on their own, the teacher gave them the written instructions on how to build the catapult - showing how POWERFUL reading can be in our lives!
