Earlier this month, WRJH had the honor of hosting the Journey of Hope Memorial Tour, commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing. At Claremore High School, the Jitterbug Café coffee and snack cart is a favorite part of the day! Operated by a dedicated team of students, the cart rolls through campus delivering warm drinks and tasty treats directly to teachers and staff.

🎨🧩 Piece by Piece: Art in Collaboration!
In this creative group project, 18 talented students came together to recreate a reference photo using the grid method—one square at a time! Each student was given a random 2x2 inch section of the original image and challenged to replicate it on a larger 7x7 inch scale.
Once all the pieces were complete, they were carefully assembled like a giant puzzle and glued onto large craft paper, forming a collaborative artwork approximately 3 feet by 3.5 feet in size, 1,470 square inches of teamwork!
Students then worked together to adjust value, blending, and proportions across each piece to create a unified final image. This project not only sharpened their drawing skills but also showed the power of collaboration and attention to detail.

🚨 RECORD-BREAKING DAY FOR ZEBRA TRACK & FIELD! 🦓🔥
Last Friday was incredible for Claremore Track & Field! Our athletes didn’t just show up… they showed out and left their mark in the school record books on home turf!
🥏 Landon King shattered the Discus school record with a throw of 171'8", crushing the previous mark of 161'!
🏃♀️ Emma Robinson crushed the school record again, beating what she set earlier in the year, going from 5:12.45 to a new school record of 5:01 in the 1600m run!
🔥 The Girls 4x100 and 4x200 relay teams weren’t about to be left out — also breaking their school records set earlier this year!
