She graduated from Oral Roberts University with a Bachelor's in Music Education. This is her first year teaching, and she graduated as a Zebra in 2020! When asked what she likes best about Claremore Public Schools, she shared, “As a former student, I love that I get to pour back into the schools that developed me. Cooking with Classen 🍪 During the first week back to school at Westside Elementary, Mrs. Classen's class read "The Kissing Hand," a book about Chester the Raccoon, who is missing his parents at the beginning of the school year. The book encourages students to be courageous and take on new challenges. When her class finished this project, they all got to make sugar cookie hands with chocolate kisses in the middle.
