Zebs shared a legendary piece of history with Dazzle today—the story of how Claremore High School became home to the one and only Zebra mascot! 🦓 It all started in the 1920s when the football team debuted their new striped jerseys. A spectator remarked, "They look like a bunch of zebras," and the name stuck! Did you know the original stripes were purple and gold? 💜💛 By 1930, Superintendent Homer C. Heard kept costs down by ordering more affordable red shirts and white khaki pants. That decision established the red and white school colors we proudly wear today! ❤️🤍 Claremore remains the only school in Oklahoma with a Zebra mascot—talk about unique! 🎉 #CPSZebraPride
