What’s your favorite Beatles song? 🎶“Here comes the sun….little darlin’” 🎶 If your 4th grader has been requesting The Beatles all this week, they may be in Mrs. Sagely's class. She has been teaching all about John, Paul, George & Ringo, aka the Fab Four, in English with a little modern history and music tied in there! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

🗻What causes a mountain range? 🕳Or a deep trench on the ocean floor? Students are learning about tectonic plates and what happens when two plates come together, known as a convergent boundary. When plates collide, the impact can cause them to buckle, creating a mountain, or bend, creating a trench. Check out this model of a tectonic plate boundary! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Mrs. Cardwell, a STEM teacher at Claremont and Roosa, is opening doors to opportunities and career paths students might not have had previous exposure to with this program! Thank you to Claremore Public Schools Foundation for helping fund this co-curricular activity. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Claremore Public Schools and offices will be closed Monday, February 20, 2023 - Presidents Day “Use power to help people. For we are given power not to advance our own purposes nor to make a great show in the world, nor a name. There is but one just use of power and it is to serve people.” ― George W. A 5th-grade WIN group blasted off to space with a research project! 🚀The students took on their missions seriously and conducted research to determine the distance from the sun, period of rotation and revolution, diameter, density, surface temperature and surface gravity. The findings of their missions helped them determine if life could actually exist elsewhere.👽 #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

🍕🥙🥜What are your favorite football game snacks? The "Big Game" is just a few hours away and we know several of our families are busy cooking up some good grub to eat while watching and cheering on their favorite team. One of our high school classes uses this big event to teach some life skills. Students chose a recipe, created a grocery list, did the shopping, paid for the food and cooked it up during class. It's a WIN-WIN life lesson! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Mrs. Roller's class had a puzzling lesson earlier this week 🤔❓ Using standard measurement to solve a mystery! 🔎 There were three suspects, and students had to look for clues around the classroom. Then, they had to use their ruler and measure the clues in inches. 📏When they were all done, we used our clues to match our suspects and found the criminal!! 🕵️‍♀️ #CPSZEBRAPRIDE
