Mrs. Ratcliff had all the Westside students brainstorm why they love Westside and what makes Westside such a special school? Students were then charged with designing a t-shirt for Westside, knowing that one of them would be chosen as the school shirt for this year.
The designs were entirely up to the students' imagination. The students worked hard and were very creative in their Zebra-tastic t-shirt creations.
Congratulations to Owen Lyons, who won the competition with his Westside Zebras - Changing the world one child at a time logo.
"We are super proud of all of our creative artists at Westside and the designs they came up with. Owen, we are so very proud of you and that creative heart of yours. Keep on artist, superstar! !"- Mrs. Ratcliff

NJROTC Drone Team headed up the road to visit RSU and find out about their Unmanned Aircraft Systems program. The Federal Aviation Administration projects sustained and continued growth in nearly every category through 2037. They further project the small model unmanned aircraft systems fleet to more than triple in size from an estimated 1.1 million vehicles at the end of 2016 to more than 3.5 million units by 2021.
Professor R. Curtis Sparling and the RSU AeroGames team spent time with the NJROTC Cadets. This was an excellent opportunity for our students to build relationships and experience some post-secondary options for them to consider.

We LOVE to see our students excited about books!!
Once again, family and friends of our Kindergarten teachers have come together to provide a book to every student monthly. In October, they all received "How Do Dinosaurs Go to School."
Thank you, each and every person who donated to provide these students with books! It is truly one of the best investments you can make! Interested in participating? Contact, Claremont Elementary.

Ms. McCracken's 5th-grade science classes at Catalayah had so much fun during their science experiment.
The kids were given a cup with a mixture of 5 components and separated each one into a container.
They experimented with different methods to separate the components of their mixture based on their properties using magnets, colanders, cheesecloth, and coffee filters based on their properties.
They came up with some creative methods of filtration!

CHS Pre-Engineering students take time to explore their future options in the field of engineering. Touring Oklahoma State University students were able to check out the facilities and programs, allowing them to understand better what the school had to offer as they continue to prepare to make their post-secondary decisions.
