Will Rogers Junior High students in Mr. Wadsworth’s classes just wrapped up a partner project diving into the diverse ethnic groups of Eastern Europe and Western Russia!✨

John Dexter, our dedicated WRJH history teacher, explored the vibrant streets of New Orleans for spring break. The journey wasn't just about indulging in the city's famous beignets and jazz—it was a dive into the historical depths of NOLA. 📚🎺

Extracting DNA in Mrs. Newbury’s Science Class!🧬🔬
Students have been diving into the world of DNA and exploring how it’s present in every cell of our bodies. But this time, they got to see it firsthand! 👀
Using chemical reactions, they extracted DNA from their own cheek cells, watching their genetic material come to life outside the microscope. A fascinating and fun experiment!

🔬📚 Making Core Memories in 1st Grade! 🎉
Mrs. Hall shared one of her favorite school memories of learning about Oobleck while reading Bartholomew and the Oobleck by Dr. Seuss! So, she brought the experience to life for her 1st graders!
Students made predictions, conducted experiments, and recorded observations as they explored oobleck's fascinating (and messy!) properties! 🌟 Hands-on learning at its best!

Congratulations to the CHS Room 701 Jazz Choir and CHS Jazz Band, under the direction of Ruiel Doonkeen and T.J. Smith, for earning straight superior ratings at the Pittsburg State University Jazz Festival! 🎶
🏆 Not only did our students shine on stage, but they also had the incredible opportunity to attend an evening concert by the Grammy-winning group, The Yellowjackets! After the show, they took part in a meet-and-greet, getting CDs signed and asking the pros about their music careers and the equipment they use. It is an unforgettable experience for our talented musicians! 🎷
