👋Let’s welcome Billy Willard to the Zebra family in today’s New Teacher Feature! 👨‍🏫 Mr. Willard is a new math teacher at Will Rogers Junior High. He is also the HS football coach, head women’s wrestling coach, and head JH baseball coach. He graduated from NSU with a Bachelors in Elementary Education. 👍His favorite thing about Claremore Public Schools is the small town feel. He teaches and coaches because he wants to make his students and players feel the way that his teachers and coaches made him feel. He chose CPS because he already knew a lot of the staff and knew it was a great school system. ‼Some interesting facts about Mr. Willard is he played football, baseball, tennis and wrestled. He also got to go on stage with Gallagher. ♥Some of his favorite hobbies include playing golf, watching sports and spending time with family. 👋Let’s welcome Robert Cope to the Zebra family in today’s New Teacher Feature! 👨‍🏫Mr. Cope is a new social studies teacher and head girls basketball coach at Claremore High School. He graduated with a Bachelors in Physical Education and Health from Black Hills State University and a Masters in Coaching, Physical Education and Health from Northern State University. 👍Mr. Cope’s favorite thing about Claremore Public Schools is “It’s like working with family! Every day I go to work with people that know me, my wife and my kids.” Mr. Cope teaches because he’s not the type to sit in an office all day, he thrives on the challenge of trying to get students to think and use their brains for good and not evil. He chose CPS because it allows him to do what he loves close to who he loves. ‼Some interesting facts about Mr. Cope is he’s originally from Montana, which he calls “the greatest state in the country (proven by science).” He also possesses a vast collection of trivial knowledge. ♥Some of Mr. Cope’s favorite hobbies include spending time with family, firing up the BBQ on the weekends, watching On Patrol: Live and cheering on THE Ohio State Buckeyes! 🤭Better late than never... 🤖Before the CHS Robotics Team headed to the Native American VEX VRC Showcase Event, they competed against 24 teams in their first regional tournament in Nowata, OK. 🏆As expected CHS had 3 teams bring home some hardware. 🏆Chloe Reedy and Raegen Hofstetter won the Design Award. 🏆Kinsey Singer, Ashton Keegan, Jared Young, Ed Alexander, Kynedee Hofstetter, Ethan Hays, Gannon Riggs, and Isaac Reedy brought the Tournament Champion accolades home. Team 9142A won the Skills Championship and Team 9142C won the Judges Award. 🦾CHS Robotics has six more tournaments on the schedule; Claremore will host 3 of those events. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE
