COUNTDOWN TO GRADUATION - 17 Days brought to you by Mrs. Amber Revis and her daughter Paiten.
Mrs. Reavis is the Art teacher at Roosa where she has been for 8 years. Although she is not a CHS alumn she is married to one. Paiten is surrounded by family at CPS including her Grandma - Belinda Reavis who works in the athletic department and her Aunt Randa Reavis Fay who is the principal at Claremont. Her fondest memory of Paiten at CPS is watching her represent in a Claremore Zebra uniform. Seeing her grow and excel in both Softball and Track has been so rewarding. Her coaches and the connections they have are a HUGE part of her success as a Zebra!
Paiten began her Zebra career in 2nd grade at Roosa and continued it at WRJH and CHS. She is active in athletics (softball and track), Christian Club, and the National Honor Society. Paiten has taken advantage of both the AP/PreAP classes and concurrent enrollment at RSU. Athletics is probably what she will remember most. In her junior year, the team won Softball Regionals and made a semi-final appearance at State. She also went to State in track and stood on the podium in 3 events. It was such a memorable year with her teammates and coaches!

When a principal turns 50 at Catalayah, it's a BIG DEAL!
The staff/students surprised her with Rise and Shine in the gym to celebrate!
She was seeing visions of her at all ages throughout the gym. It looks like the "Fabulous Squad" had some help getting those photos. It was a sweet surprise to have Mr. Shuck and her son, Adam, join her work family for the festivities.
Welcome to the 5-0 club, Mrs. Shuck.

Get your tickets now for Claremore High School Choir and Drama production of OKLAHOMA! It is a BEAUTIFUL show! April 28-30 7:30 pm.” - Ruiel Doonkeen, CHS Choir Director

COUNTDOWN TO GRADUATION - 18 Days brought to you by the Hurt Family.
Jarreka Hurt has been a Zebra since Pre-K. She’s attended Claremont & Catalayah Elementary, WRJH, and CHS. Active in athletics, Christian Club, FCA, FUZE, Native American Student Association, National Honor Society, Student Council, Spirit Squad, Red Army, and Young Republican - this girl bleeds #ZebraRed! The thing that she will remember most about her experience at CPS is the assemblies held at the high school.
Both of Jarreka’s parents are CPS employees. Coach and Mrs. LaRonna Hurt have been a huge part of the CPS system for 14 years. Coach Hurt is the Assitant Athletic Director and Head Football Coach but has also served as a CHS Asst. Principal. His fondest memory is having his daughter on the sidelines with him as the ball girl for the past six years.
Mrs. LaRonna Hurt is a Reading Specialist at WRJH. She shared her fondest memory with her daughter during her CPS career, As Jarreka's first-grade teacher, I strived to treat her the same as the other students (she says I was a lot harder on her than the others). Before conducting individual assessments with each student, I made them feel comfortable with small talk. After Jarreka entered the testing room with me, I used my ‘teacher voice’, welcomed her, and asked her how she was doing. She looked around the room and said, "Mom, it's just us." Having her in my first-grade class was special!

When asked her fondest memory she shared, "I've loved the convenience of having my child nearby for his entire CPS career. 20 DAYS TO GRADUATION is brought to you by Jessica & Preston Peck

He is actively involved in athletics and says, " Playing tennis has been one of the most therapeutic things in my life since 7th grade." Also on his resume are AP classes, Christian Club, FCA, and Red Army. The connections he built will be one of his most memorable over the years as a Zebra, sharing, "Just being around other people that fully enjoy the same activity I do and becoming friends with shared interests." The teachers who have helped push me through the classes he's taken and made sure he was okay when they saw him looking down.
Mrs. Peck has been at Claremore Public Schools for 17 years and is currently a 1st-grade teacher at Claremont. One of her fondest memories is watching her son play in the OSSAA State Tennis Tournament his freshman year, where he and his doubles partner podiumed in 5th place. Have you ever wondered why we have P.E. (Physical Education) in our school?
Physical education provides cognitive content and instruction designed to develop motor skills, knowledge, physical activity and fitness behaviors—students build the ability and confidence to be physically active for a lifetime.
It also allows students to get the "wiggles" out and helps them concentrate in the classroom.
