Ms. Story is the Registrar at Catalayah and has been with CPS for a decade and a cheer mom. She loved watching Tatum cheer for football and wrestling from the time she was a 7th grader through this year.
Tatum has been a Zebra since her Kindergarten year at Catalayah. She cheered her first game at WRJH in 7th grade and her last at CHS this winter as a senior. In addition to cheerleading, she is active in SAGA, Student Council, and Red Army. She took advantage of both teh AP/PreAP Classes at CHS and concurrent classes at RSU. She will remember the wonderful teachers she had at Catalayah and all the friends she has made throughout her years in CPS.

Mrs. Roller’s first grade class recently finished reading Because of Winn Dixie. In the story they had a party with pickles, litmus lozenges (candy), egg salad sandwiches, and punch!! They recreated the party! Mrs. Roller was surprised by how many of them tried everything.

Mrs. Stacey Bason is a Reading Enrichment Teacher and ELL (English Language Learner) Teacher at WRJH. She has worked for CPS for 5 years. She will always remember this year when Blake won in wrestling against the Pryor wrestler and qualified for state. Hearing and watching the crowd, coaches, wrestlers, and other students cheering for Blake was UNBELIEVABLE! This was one of the most exciting memories and one she hopes to never forget.
Blake Bacon is another one of ours who was born and raised to bleed #ZEBRARED. He attended Catalayah, WRJH, and of course CHS. He is active in athletics playing football and wrestling. He also is a member of the Young Republicans Club. His favorite memories are all centered around participating in athletics whether it was on the field, on the mat, or in the stands.

Makyla was raised a Zebra and has attended Catalayah, WRJH, and will finish her career at CHS. She is involved in athletics, ZUAC, Red Army, and the AP/PreAP programs at CHS. Her fondest memories include playing volleyball at Claremore and going to state twice in my high school career!

It's State Testing Time and we even saw some smiles at Catalayah 😀.
Testing is only for 3rd & 5th grades, but the entire school gets to be involved because at Catalayah we cheer each other on to success.
The grades who were not testing made goody bags to encourage our students that were testing. They decorated the bags with encouraging words and filled the bags with candy and mints.

14 Days brought to you by Coach Eddy and his senior Ryan and their letterman jackets.
Coach Eddy has been a coach and English teacher at CHS for 5 years. He told us, “Ryan has spent his whole high school career at CHS. He’s had some of the best teachers and coaches along the way that have helped mold him into a young man that we’re all proud of.”
Ryan began his Zebra experience in 8th grade and WRJH and has continued through high school. With a coach as a dad, it’s not surprising he’s been involved in athletics. He also is a member of the Native American Student Association. Ryan shared this about his time as a Zebra, “I’ve always felt at home and a part of a family community, I can always count on my peers and staff.”
