This weekend, your Claremore Varsity Dance Team traveled to Orlando, FL, to compete at nationals. There were over 800 performances this weekend and competitors from other countries, such as Ecuador. The competition was diverse and fierce, but the team's attention to detail, skill execution, and creativity prevailed.
💃
They are bringing home a 2nd place in Medium Varsity Open and a 3rd place in Medium Varsity Kick! They didn't place in hip hop, but we are still very proud of how well they performed. It's a GREAT DAY to be a ZEBRA!

Last week was National #FFAWeek. Many former FFA members can probably recite at least the 1st paragraph of the FFA Creed, maybe more. You know, "I believe in the future of agriculture...." The FFA Motto has always been Mr. Boyer's favorite, though. He explains that to him, it truly describes all of life. No matter what you do, those 12 simple words pretty well sum up what the joys & struggles of what life is all about.
🔵 Learning to Do
🔵 Doing to Learn
🔵 Earning to Live
🔵 Living to Serve.
Many only see a select few individuals in the Blue & Gold, but for every student you see, two more are sitting in a classroom or at home, hopefully learning about agriculture. Let's not idolize one & forget about the other.
Happy National FFA Week!! Enjoy the throwback picture of Mr. Boyer and little humor. Any FFA alums out there have a throwback photo of you in you Blue & Gold or at an FFA activity - please share it in the comments.

WRJH Girls in STEM Club participated in the Tulsa Regional STEM Alliance's Women STEM event. The girls entered a shoe challenge to design a versatile woman's shoe appropriate for a corporate and manufacturing setting. One of our teams took 1st place in the safest shoe design! These young women also participated in breakout sessions, including a science experiment, using robotics, inquiry-based math, and an engineering challenge.
Dr. Kayse Shrum, Oklahoma Secretary of Science, was the keynote speaker encouraging the girls to "Be the Best Version of Yourself" and to "Dream Big and Live with Purpose."
Thank you, Tulsa Regional STEM Alliance, for this inspirational opportunity! Wendee Henry of Claremore was also honored as a Woman of STEM and was a guest at our table!
