Who's got an Elf on the Shelf? Well, we have a Principal on a shelf!
Twinkle the Elf has been spotted at Westside Elementary! She was rolling down the hallway in a wagon, being mischievous in classrooms, playing with toys, smiling, and hugging her Westside friends!
Now she's gone for Christmas break, but we'd like to be introduced to your Elf on the Shelf. Post a photo of them and their mischievous behavior in the comments on the CPS FB page.

Fridays with Frazier moves from COVID and computers to the magic that happens in the classroom.
This week we feature Mrs. Laurie Titsworth’s Pre-K class at Westside Elementary School, where they incorporated the magic of the season to teach letters, sounds, reinforce colors, introduce graphing, all tied together with a bow and a book.

The creativity, innovation, and perseverance our teachers are showing to keep our kids engaged is remarkable. Everyone is learning new skills - TikTok, Zoom, Loom, iMovie, Com Casting, Bitmoji Classroom, Google Classroom, Avatars...
WRJH 8th grade teachers made their own UGLY Christmas 🎄 sweaters! Who says distance learning can't be fun? Not these teachers. They created a video to send their students into the holiday break.

Claremont Elementary wanted to give back! Each class adopted 1-2 officers from the Claremore Police Department to shower them with their favorite things.
This week, our classes were able to present these gifts to the officers in a drive-thru parade. It was so much fun!
Keep a lookout for the afternoon parade video - coming soon!

What do great teachers do that have to teach from home? They teach virtually! Mrs. Stone was in precautionary quarantine and teaching her class from home!
So she is reading books, completing assignments, and teaching new skills through the use of technology, making being apart a little more bearable.
Westside students love their teachers and appreciate their fortitude to make sure their students continue to learn under these circumstances.
