As you prepare to go back to school remember it is a good time to wash coats, hats, gloves, and book bags, etc. to help limit the spread of germs. You can also use disinfectant wipes on items like book covers, binders, folders, and other items that can’t be washed. Thanks for helping keep our students and staff healthy.

Choir students in Mrs. Shilling's class at WRJH gave Music Theory Presentations this past term.
These presentations are student led projects where the students gave the history of the music theory topic, discussed why it's essential, taught the music theory topic, then created and facilitated an activity to reinforce learning.

Gear Up Parent Leadership Academy is a great way to be a part of helping CPS accomplish its mission and vision to increase student learning and achievement. Our vision is that ALL students will have the option to provide evidence of their learning in numerous ways. Gaining necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes to achieve their dreams and become successful members of the community in which they live.

CHS Volleyball Team takes time to BLOCK OUT CANCER. Raising $1000 to contribute to the ZUAC (Zebras United Against Cancer) fund; it's the most significant contribution from any of our sports teams currently. They have set the bar and challenge the other sports teams and clubs to show their #CPSZEBRAPRIDE and match their donation.

Before break, Mrs. Bacon's EL class at WRJH spent some time learning American Christmas traditions and used one of those traditions to explain measurements and ingredients.
This was the first time for them to ever decorate Christmas cookies! And they tasted pretty good, too!

When a student needs help, a teacher is there. One of our office aides was having trouble with his Algebra 1, and Mrs. Province was on her plan. She stopped when she saw him having trouble, sat with him, and helped him with his work. Mrs. Province is one of our 7th grade teachers. The student is an 8th grader, and not in her class.

3rd grade students at Claremont got to see what the magic of the holidays are all about as they left encouraging notes to classmates after drawing their names in the class "Secret Santa" project.

The Spirit of Christmas was seen on the faces of every student at Claremont Elementary as Santa made a surprise visit before the students left for break. This special event was made possible by the proceeds raised by the Claremore Police Department's "No Shave November."
