Recently at Claremont Elementary, our 4th graders set out to discover their favorite genres by hosting a Book Tasting. Students had the opportunity to 'sample' different book genres to help them find new interests and encourage a love for reading. Once they had a taste of all the books, students reviewed them based on their first impressions!❤🍽🦓📚

Isabel Reyes is a 6th grade geography teacher at Will Rogers Junior High. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelors of Art in Economics. This is her first year teaching as a Zebra!
When asked what she likes best about Claremore Public Schools, she shared, “In the very short time that I've been at CPS, I already feel at home! Everyone has been so friendly and helping me in any way they can to make me truly feel like a part of the team.”

What is your favorite part about being a Zebra? “I love the academic and athletic opportunities we are given at the high school. Both things are extremely important to me. While being a student athlete can be hard at times, the coaches and teachers are so understanding and will be more than happy to help you when you need it. Also, the bond I have with some of the teachers and coaches is very special to me. I hope to keep some of these people in my life forever!”

There is nowhere else where I can be friends with so many people with whom I have nothing in common.”

What is your favorite part about being a Zebra? “I've lived in this city my entire life. It is my home, and I love it here. The community here is amazing, and I always feel safe. Also, football games are awesome.”

What is your favorite part about being a Zebra? “My favorite part about being a Zebra is the community support behind our athletics. The community shows up year in and year out for our athletes. The teachers here are amazing and have always been willing to help me throughout high school.”

What is your favorite part about being a Zebra? “Being a part of the Zebra Band is my favorit part of being a Zebra! Claremore as a ton of awesome sports, clubs, an arts where students can find their peace, and ive most definitely found mine, in the band! Playing and preforming with my friends has made my high school experience special.”

CHS has truly helped me break out of my shell. Now, I love joining in at pep assemblies, dressing up, and showing off my school spirit. I enjoy making new friends and connecting with everyone I can. Our amazing teachers take the initiative to build relationships with us, guiding us as we explore our personalities and find our future careers. There is nothing I love more than dancing for my dance team and the football team on Friday nights. Go Zebras!”
