🌍 Exploring Oklahoma’s Tribal Heritage 🏹 Students in the Roosa Native American Club are diving deep into the rich histories of Oklahoma’s 37 tribal nations! Each student has selected a tribe—outside of their own—to research and present on, uncovering details such as: 📜 The history behind the tribe’s name 📍 Geographical location & landmarks 📊 Tribe size & current events 🛡️ Familial clans & cultural traditions ⭐ Famous figures within the tribe This meaningful project is more than just research—it’s a step toward preserving cultural stories and knowledge for future generations. 💡👏 Let’s celebrate these students for their dedication to honoring and understanding Indigenous history! We can not wait to see the final projects. The Native American Club is an after-school enrichment opportunity; all registered Native American students at Roosa can participate. 🏆 Record-Breaking Weekend for Zebra Track! 🏆 On Saturday, our CHS track team competed at the Union Season Opener and made history, breaking THREE school records! 💥🔥 💪🏼 Girls 4x100 Relay – 49.60 (Addison Doyle, Addison Reavis, Ava Jestes, Lynie Bailey) 💪🏼Girls 4x200 Relay – 1:45.01 (Same powerhouse team - Addison Doyle, Addison Reavis, Ava Jestes, Lynie Bailey) 🏃‍♀️ Emma Robinson shattered a 31-year-old school record in the 1600m, running an incredible 5:12.45! 💥We are proud to announce the following Claremore FFA members have earned their State FFA Degree and will walk across the stage at the 99th Oklahoma State FFA Convention on May 7th to receive this award!💥 The State Degree is the highest honor given by the Oklahoma FFA Association, and only the most upstanding senior FFA members receive this recognition each year. Candidates must meet diligent requirements and demonstrate their work ethic and commitment to FFA. These requirements include keeping a detailed record of finances, activities, and community service hours and making a scrapbook or portfolio that further documents their FFA experience. Ag teachers and state staff evaluate those record books and scrapbooks/portfolios at regional and state levels. Congratulations, 🎉Grace, Westin, MaKinzee, Meadow and Halley!
