Our Will Rogers Junior High yearbook class is diving into scrapbooking this year to sharpen their skills for the ultimate yearbook creation! By designing their own scrapbook pages, students learn to master layout, storytelling, and creativity while having fun with photos and designs. 🎓 Claremore High School Seniors Taking Steps Toward Their Future! 🎓 Earlier this year, our seniors had the chance to attend a college fair and meet with recruiters from colleges across the region! This valuable experience gave students insight into the application and enrollment process, helping them explore potential colleges ahead of College App Week. Getting our students onto college campuses allows them to see themselves as future college students and familiarizes them with what it's like to be part of a college community. At CPS, we are dedicated to raising student achievement and ensuring that every Zebra feels confident and prepared for success beyond high school—whether that’s college, career, or military service. #cpszebrapride

This fall, Claremore High School sophomores participated in the annual Sophomore Showcase at (Northeast Tech) NTC, exploring a variety of career programs as they prepare for their junior year. Students chose three programs to tour at the Pryor campus, offering a more personalized, hands-on experience with tools, projects, and equipment. Meanwhile, the Claremore campus provides a comprehensive tour of all six full-time programs. This event is a vital part of our Individual Career Academic Plan (ICAP) process and reflects Claremore Public Schools' commitment to fostering innovation and excellence in education. By exposing students to career-tech opportunities, we empower them to make informed decisions about their future, aligning with our district’s mission of providing education with purpose and helping every student achieve success. Through this experience, students gain insights into career pathways that support their personal and academic growth while preparing them to thrive in life beyond high school.

Congratulations to our four Zebra students from the Claremore High School and Will Rogers Jr. High choir departments who were selected to be part of the prestigious All District Choir! They are Millie Henry, Sydnie Abshire, Cheyenne Grubbs, and Hadley Smith.🎤🦓 The Northeastern Choral Directors' Association is an organization of 34 choral departments from northeastern Oklahoma and the surrounding area of the Tulsa metro. Founded in 1980 by former Claremore High School Vocal Music director Buddy Watson, as well as Hershal Avra (Pryor HS), Bob Humble (Collinsville HS) and Ron Stowell (Miami HS) set the mission of the organization to enrich the secondary choral education experience through high quality education, repertoire and performance. The organization provides competition and learning for its members on an annual basis. The annual NCDA All-District Choir auditions as well as the NCDA All-District Honor Choir Performance Concert are two events that are hosted by the organization. They will perform along with the NCDA All-District Honor Choir on November 5, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, Downtown Tulsa. The concert is free, and all are welcome to attend. The team you don't see keeps the team on the field connected to our community, especially those who can not make it to our games. 🎥🎬 Shoutout to Our ZTV Crew! 🎬🎥 Our Claremore High School ZTV team, led by Digital Video Editing teacher Leah Johnson, has been hard at work this football season, streaming every Friday night game live! These talented students not only cover football but also stream other sports, choir concerts, and band performances. They also produce a lip-dub, and our Teacher of the Year features videos. But that is not all; they also produce several news broadcasts throughout the year. A HUGE thank you to this year’s ZTV football streaming team: Landyn Buras, Braxon Chastain, Trenton Coker, Alex Countryman, Zip Gordon, Forrest Griffin, Cabe Holmberg, Tyler Kik, Logan Kinney, Thomas Knapp, Liam Kuk, Taliya Pena, Ella Ragland, Chloe Reedy, Valerie Ridenour, Robert Ruth, Jackson Smith, Carter Spinks, and Benjamin White. 🎉🙌 Special shoutout to Beau Eubanks and Sawyer Beller, who stepped in as commentators — we see some future sports announcers in the making! 🎤🏈 Thank you for keeping our community connected and entertained! 💻📡 Although they will not be streaming this week (10/25), they will return for senior night on Nov. 1st. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Roosa Elementary second graders had a gourd-geous time at the pumpkin patch! 🎃 They picked their favorite pumpkins and brought them back to class for a fun decorating session full of creativity and smiles! 🍂🦓 #CPSZebraPride

At Westside Elementary, it’s “Pumpkin Palooza” day in 2nd grade with Ms. Brown’s class! Students used math skills to help prepare, measure, and cook the fall-themed treats! These Westies were encouraged to be open to trying something new!🎃🦓 Pumpkin fluff, pumpkin bread with chocolate chips, pumpkin cookies, and so much more—it was pumpkintastic! 🍂🎃🦓 #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

At Catalayah Elementary, Mrs. Basks and Mrs. Shuck are launching a mobile administration approach for the 2024-2025 school year. Using mobile desks, funded by a Claremore Public Schools Foundation grant, the principals will be more visible and accessible throughout the school.
