Representing: NJROTC

What are your future plans? “To go to the Naval Academy, study Aerospace Engineering, and to commission in the Marine Corps to fly the F-35B.”
What is your favorite part about being a Zebra? “My favorite part about being a Zebra is the unique communities offered through clubs and organizations.”

What are your future plans? I want to go to OSU and become a pediatrician.
What is your favorite part about being a Zebra? “Everyone is so welcoming, and I love the school spirit.”

What are your future plans? “Go to Missouri S&T to get my Chemical Engineering BS”
What is your favorite part about being a Zebra? “My favorite part about being a zebra is the friendships Ive made and the faculty that have taught me and helped set me on a path for success.

What are your future plans? “I want to go to college to study nursing and become a travel nurse.”
What is your favorite part about being a Zebra? “My favorite part about being a Zebra is the friendships I've formed with my classmates and the supportive staff that have made me who I am today.”

Congratulations to Emma Robinson & Gabriel Rodriguez, who are now two of the fastest runners in Claremore High School history!
Following their cross-country meet last week, Emma Robinson ran an 18.21, marking her as the second-fastest female runner in CHS history! Gabriel Rodriguez ran 16.47, marking him the fourth fastest male runner in CHS History! Show them your #CPSZEBRAPRIDE in the comments!

Join us at Claremore Public Schools for the Patriot Day Ceremony, a tradition dating back to 2006, and invites the entire student body, community members, and distinguished guests to join together in paying tribute to those impacted by the events of 9/11. The ceremony will commence at 9:30 AM on September 11th and conclude at 10:00 AM.

Claremore High School's Navy Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (NJROTC), under the leadership of Colonel John Rahe, Retired Marine Corps, is proud to announce its annual Patriot Day Ceremony in commemoration of the tragic events of September 11, 2001. This special event will honor the heroes who served in the aftermath and remember those who lost their lives on that fateful day. The ceremony will occur at Claremore High School’s historic Lantow Field, named after the Lantow brothers, local heroes who served our nation with valor.

It helps give a sense of belonging; there is something for everyone. It's a great way to be involved in the school, meet new people, and find your niche.” 🦓 Rosemary Jones Representing: Technology Student Association Other student activities involved in: Band, Chemistry Club, Biomed Club, Christian Club, Tulsa Diocesan Youth Senate What are your future plans? “After high school, I plan on majoring in political science and eventually become an attorney.” What is your favorite part about being a Zebra? “My favorite part about being a student at our school is the incredible sense of community and the opportunities we have to grow as leaders and individuals.” 🦓 Addison Holmes Representing: SAGA Club Other student activities involved in: Art Club and Color/Winter Guard with the Band What are your future plans? Representing: Young Republicans
Other student activities involved in: JROTC
What are your future plans? “Go to RSU for my prerequisites, then graduate from a good college, maybe OSU, TU, or somewhere out of state. After that, I plan on doing military from their college ROTC program.”
What is your favorite part about being a Zebra? “My favorite part about being a zebra is the teachers. Having a good teacher is the difference between passing or failing a class. I would say the ones I enjoyed the most would be Mr. Noland, Mrs. Lahr, Mrs. Grubbs, Mrs. Huddleston, Colonel Rahe, and Mrs. Hernandez.”

What are your future plans? “I plan on attending college and getting a degree to be an Occupational Therapist.”
What is your favorite part about being a Zebra? “My favorite part about being a Zebra is growing up in a kind, supportive environment, with help every step of the way.”

What are your future plans? “I plan to attend LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas, and get a Masters in Mechanical Engineering.”
What is your favorite part about being a Zebra? “My favorite part is the amount of organizations and classes you can be a part of.”

Michelle Kagebein is a Special Education Resource teacher at Westside Elementary. She graduated from East Central University with a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education. This is her first year teaching as a Zebra, but has been teaching for 23 years!

What are your future plans? “I plan on going to college out of state and get a degree in education so I can teach the theatre arts.”
What is your favorite part about being a Zebra? “The ability to involve myself in so many things that have helped me connect with my peers.”

What are your future plans? “To attend Wichita State and pursue a major in elementary education and a minor in ASL and Spanish.”
What is your favorite part about being a Zebra? “My favorite part about being a zebra is helping my peers and younger students with their education paths and always being a shoulder to lean on. Being a zebra has allowed me to have a big heart and I love being able to help people and being there if someone just needs a person to talk to.”

There’s nothing like a victory to make breakfast taste even sweeter! After their big win, our Zebras were treated to a delicious breakfast casserole and cinnamon rolls from Front Porch Bakery, topped off with their favorite chocolate milk from Swan’s Dairy. Thank you to everyone who helped make it happen!

When asked what she likes best about Claremore Public Schools, she shared, “As a former student, I love that I get to pour back into the schools that developed me. I love that I get to partner alongside teachers that impacted me to impact the future of Claremore.”

Cooking with Classen 🍪
During the first week back to school at Westside Elementary, Mrs. Classen's class read "The Kissing Hand," a book about Chester the Raccoon, who is missing his parents at the beginning of the school year. The book encourages students to be courageous and take on new challenges.
When her class finished this project, they all got to make sugar cookie hands with chocolate kisses in the middle. An inspiring lesson with a sweet treat!🦓🍪 #CPSZEBRAPRIDE
