Last Friday, our Claremore High School NJROTC cadets traveled to Bentonville, Arkansas to compete in the Brain Brawl and PT Challenge — and they brought home some serious wins! 💪🧠

In Mrs. Simmonds’ science class, curiosity and critical thinking took center stage as students became “pretzel detectives”! Using their observation skills, they explored texture, taste, and twisty details, asking questions, making hypotheses, and drawing conclusions.
This hands-on activity blended learning with fun, nurturing both academic excellence and joyful discovery. Our students are living out the Great Expectations by being actively engaged, working cooperatively, and speaking with purpose and we love seeing their grit, curiosity, and innovation shine through!

By visualizing each rule and engaging with the model, students developed a deeper understanding of the human body in action, connecting classroom learning to real-world applications.

To take it a step further, Janna Harding from Oklahoma Central Credit Union visited the class and shared knowledge on smart financial habits. Her real-world advice helped reinforce the importance of building financial skills early and gave students a glimpse into future decision-making.

🌟 Heaven Pahsetopah, the first woman to perform the Men’s Fancy Dance, honors her family’s legacy with each powerful movement, blending tradition with trailblazing spirit.
🌟 Tehi Chibitty performed the Osage-style Straight Dance, a representation of honor, discipline, and respect passed down through generations.
Together, they bring the heartbeat of Native dance to the field, sharing pride, identity, and culture with our Zebra community.
