⛽️📊 4th grade took a trip to “QT” without leaving the classroom!
Students stepped into the shoes of convenience store employees, rotating through four hands-on stations to solve real-world math problems—applying what they've learned in a fun and practical way!

Each student left with a QT pencil, a coupon for a free fountain drink, and a better understanding of how math shows up in everyday life.

🏀 NEXT LEVEL ZEBRA: Brady Priess, CHS Class of 2019

From the courts of Claremore High to the sidelines of Division I basketball, Brady Priess is making serious moves. Recently promoted to Assistant Director of Scouting for Oklahoma State Men’s Basketball, Brady is stepping into a key role on the Cowboys’ coaching staff, and doing it with the same grit and passion he’s shown since day one.

His new position will have him right in the middle of the action, evaluating talent from the transfer portal to international prospects, managing internal databases and scouting partnerships, assisting with opponent prep, and helping coordinate official visits. He’ll also contribute to practice planning and film breakdowns, bringing his signature eye for detail to every play.

OSU Head Coach Steve Lutz had nothing but praise, according to 247Sports Feature: “Brady is a Loyal and True Cowboy who has earned this opportunity through outstanding work and unwavering dependability. He’s got a great eye for detail and a real passion for the game. No question he’s one of the rising stars in this profession.”

👏 From student manager to full-time staff, Brady’s climb is a testament to what happens when hard work meets opportunity and Zebra Pride never leaves your playbook.

🏃 NEXT LEVEL ZEBRA: Blaine Phillippi, CHS Class of 2020

Claremore’s own Blaine Phillippi has sprinted full circle, returning to Rogers State University as an Assistant Coach for Cross Country and Track & Field, starting with the 2025–26 season.

A standout Hillcat from 2020–24, Blaine earned academic honors like the MIAA Academic Excellence Award and DII Athletics Directors Association recognition, all while holding his ground on the track with multiple top‑15 finishes. After graduating with a degree in Sport & Fitness Management, he gained Division I coaching experience as an Assistant Cross Country Coach at Eastern Illinois University before returning home, where he is now also pursuing a Master's in Sports Administration.

Hillcat Head Coach Matt Kennedy is thrilled, “He has a deep passion for this university and a genuine investment in the success of our student‑athletes. Blaine brings great energy, a strong work ethic, and a clear commitment to developing this program the right way—both athletically and academically. He’s the perfect fit for our staff and our mission.”

Blaine reflects, “Joining the coaching staff at Rogers State is truly a full‑circle moment for me… I am honored to return in this new role and give back to the university and community that helped shape who I am.”

👏 From Claremore HS runner to Hillcat standout to Division I coach and back home again, Blaine exemplifies the true spirit of Zebra Pride. We can’t wait to see the next generation he inspires!

🏫 Four weeks from today, we will welcome all our students back into our halls! Although we are enjoying the opportunity to recharge, we have not stopped preparing. In the spirit of planning, we have created a BACK-TO-SCHOOL page on our website where you can find "all the things" in one place. We still need to work out a few details, but we will update the webpage weekly as those decisions are made. Additionally, if you have not completed your 25-26 enrollment registration (required for both new and returning students), please do so as soon as possible. We want plenty of time to prepare for all our students! 👀 From Athletic passes to Zebra Stripes, find out what we know at this time - https://www.claremore.k12.ok.us/page/back-to-school

💡Looking back on one of our favorite moments from this school year, Mrs. T’s 3rd-grade GT students diving into hands-on STEM activities!

Throughout the year, these young innovators tackled challenges that built their confidence, creativity, and critical thinking. STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) helps students make real-world connections and explore learning in exciting ways.

We can’t wait to see how these future problem-solvers continue to grow! 🔧💻📐

👗🎓 Mrs. Barbee has a special tradition that turns the end of kindergarten into a lasting memory. Each year, her students decorate a white dress with their names, artwork, and love. She proudly wears it on the last day of school—and plans to wear it again at their high school graduation. 🏫❤️

It’s just one example of how our teachers go above and beyond to create meaningful, heartwarming experiences that students will cherish for years.

Because in Claremore, learning is more than lessons—it’s memories, milestones, and moments that last a lifetime. 🥰
