🦓❤️🎓 COUNTDOWN TO GRADUATION — 1 Day brought to you by the Zickefoose Siblings! Chloe Zickefoose, Claremore Public Schools’ District Communications Specialist, has been with CPS for two years and is a Class of 2020 alum. Reflecting on her brother Cooper’s journey, she shared: “Two of my favorite memories were taking pictures of Zebs and Dazzle. Cooper dressed as the mascot, and we visited local businesses and school sites. We had so much fun, and I remember us both crying, laughing at how funny the costume looked. I also loved being on the mat when he won his wrestling title his junior season. Getting to capture that moment and celebrate with him is something I’ll treasure forever. I am the proudest big sister!” Cooper Zickefoose has been a proud Zebra since 5th grade, attending Roosa Elementary, Will Rogers Junior High, and Claremore High School. During his time at CPS, Cooper has made a lasting impact both in the classroom and in athletics. He has been a three-year wrestling team captain and a pole vaulter for the track and field team. He is actively involved in Red Army leadership, the National Honor Society, FCA, and the Christian Club, and is a concurrent college student. Reflecting on his time in Claremore Schools, Cooper said, “Winning wrestling state my junior year while going undefeated was one of my proudest moments. So many people were proud and happy for me. The support and enthusiasm I received from my teachers made it all worth it—they’ve always wanted the best for me in both academics and athletics.” A favorite shared memory with his sister was when they dressed as the Zebs mascot and visited elementary schools together. “My sister is always at my academic and athletic events, cheering me on and encouraging me to be the best I can be.” Chloe and Cooper shout out the educators and mentors who helped shape his journey. “There have been so many supportive teachers in Cooper’s life,” Chloe said. “To name a few of the most impactful: Mr. Riggs, who is always in his corner and one of the first to congratulate and cheer him on in all his endeavors; Ms. Lahr, who has always been one of his biggest cheerleaders; and his coaches, Coach Michael, Coach Jahn, Coach Wiens, Coach Strong, Coach Cunningham and many others. Cooper has been truly blessed by the people who have poured into him to help him grow.” It has been a fun and unforgettable eight years for Cooper as a proud Zebra! #CPSZebraPride

Reflecting on Josh’s school years, she fondly recalls how he would come home excited to tell her that he had hugged everyone at school and how classmates would actively seek him out in the hallways just for one of those hugs. A standout moment came during Josh’s junior year, when, as a lineman in a game against the Ropers, he stripped the ball and ran it in for a touchdown. This year, he became the 5A Regional Heavyweight Champion and finished as the State Runner-Up at the OSSAA State Wrestling Championship. Josh acknowledges several teachers and coaches who played a meaningful role in his journey, including Mrs. Eckert, Coach Hurt, Coach Weber, Coach Willard, Coach Cunningham, Coach Jahn, and Coach Williams. Josh shared, “I’m incredibly grateful that the school allowed her to attend every game and event. A nice bonus was that, since my mom worked for the district, I had free access to games and was able to support my classmates, too.” It has been a fun and unforgettable 11 years for Josh as a proud Zebra! #CPSZebraPride

Reflecting on Caden’s school years, she shared, “Working at Catalayah while Caden was in Kindergarten through 5th grade was such a heartwarming experience for me as a mom. It was so special to see him grow and thrive, not just at home but at school too. I loved being able to sneak peeks of his day, watching him interact with his friends, and seeing his excitement when he learned something new. Being at the school with him allowed me to share in every little milestone, making those moments even more meaningful. It was a gift to be part of his school life that way.” Donya and Caden both acknowledge the impact of their 3rd-grade teacher, Mrs. Geranen.
