Claremore NJROTC Soars to 1st Place at Drone Competition.
The Claremore High School NJROTC team earned 1st place at a Drone Competition hosted by Western Heights High School on January 19, 2026—winning by more than 500 points.
Cadets competed in multiple challenging events that tested precision, speed, and teamwork, showcasing strong technical skills and countless hours of preparation. This win highlights NJROTC’s commitment to STEM education, leadership development, and hands-on learning with emerging technology.

Mrs. Mills’ class got their kicks on Route 66 by taking a digital road trip along the iconic highway, researching and documenting a famous landmark from each state along the way. 🛣️💻

History came to life in AP U.S. History as students hosted a high-energy Gilded Age Political Reform Convention! 🇺🇸💬
Seven different groups stepped into the shoes of the era, passionately advocating from a wide range of historical perspectives. Students debated major issues like Yellow Dog Contracts, the Pullman Strike, Tammany Hall corruption, Social Darwinism, and the Gospel of Wealth, just to name a few. Each group shared their concerns, defended their viewpoints, and pushed for reforms they believed would create a stronger future.
Through powerful speeches, thoughtful arguments, and lively debate, students experienced firsthand how power, wealth, and reform movements collided during one of the most transformative periods in American history. This was hands-on learning at its best—engaging, challenging, and unforgettable.

🔬 From Snout to Tail: Biomedical Students Dive Into Dissection
Students in Biomedical Innovations began an in-depth fetal pig dissection, applying their scientific knowledge to explore anatomy in action.
Through this immersive lab, they:
🧠 Identified major body systems
👩🔬 Practiced precise dissection techniques
🔁 Compared pig and human anatomical structures
🤝 Collaborated to analyze form and function
This experience deepened their understanding of biological systems while reinforcing the technical and analytical skills vital in biomedical and health science careers.

Our high school band had the incredible opportunity to perform at the OkMEA Conference before the weather moved in, and what an honor it was. Getting the opportunity to perform at this conference is a recognition of excellence, dedication, and countless hours of preparation and our students truly rose to the occasion.
These musicians have worked tirelessly through rehearsals, practices, and performances, all leading up to this moment. Getting the chance to take the stage made every early morning, late night, and extra rehearsal worth it.
While the remainder of the conference was unfortunately canceled due to weather, that does not take away from what our band students accomplished. Their commitment, resilience, and passion for music deserve to be celebrated. We are so proud of each student for the effort they put in to reach this level, and we are excited to see (and hear) where their talent and hard work take them next.
