Our FFA students were proudly recognized at the Oklahoma FFA State Convention this past week, and we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate their incredible achievements! Before heading to convention, the chapter came together for an End-of-Year Celebration to honor their hard work, dedication, and all they’ve accomplished this year and they gave us plenty to cheer about! 🏆 State Champs! Our Ag Communications team brought home the State Championship trophy! 🎉 Team Members: McKenzie Boyer, Addison Duvall, Meadow Hiner, and Halley Reed • Addison – 1st Place High Individual + $1,000 Scholarship • Meadow – 2nd Place High Individual 🎓 State FFA Degrees – One of the highest honors an FFA member can earn, and FIVE of our members achieved it: Grace Burns, Meadow Hiner, Makinzee Joslin, Halley Reed, and Westin Watkins 👏 🎟️ WLC Scholarship – McKenzie Boyer earned a $1,500 scholarship to attend the Washington Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C. this summer! 📘 Career Passports Earned! Congratulations to these 12 members who completed their agriculture pathways: Avery Bowlby, Grace Burns, Lauren Floyd, Avaree Gatewood, Taytum Hall, Meadow Hiner, Gavin Jackson, Makinzee Joslin, Aubrey Pilgrim, Breanna Pokorny, Halley Reed, and Ethan Spalding! ⛳️ STATE STANDOUTS | 5A ALL STATE HONORS 🏌️‍♂️🏆 Congratulations to Maddox Mason and Tripp Jackson on being named to the 5A All-State Golf Team! Both athletes capped off an incredible season by tying for 8th place individually at the OSSAA 5A State Tournament. 👏 A big shoutout as well to Jack Williams, who also placed 5th place individually at State and played a key role in the Zebras' championship run. Our Claremont Elementary 2nd graders brought storybook dreams to life at the Fairy Tale Ball, dressing as princes, princesses, and beloved characters for a day full of wonder and joy! ✨ Their creativity, hard work, and attention to detail made this event unforgettable. Senior Bryce Rhoades was recently invited to perform the National Anthem on his tuba at a Tulsa Drillers baseball game! ⚾🎺 Playing the anthem is an honor, but doing it solo on the tuba in front of a packed stadium? 🚒🔥 Claremont 1st Graders Visit the Fire Station! Our first graders had an exciting field trip this week as they toured the local fire station! From exploring the living quarters to climbing aboard the fire trucks, it was a hands-on adventure they won’t forget. This annual trip is always a favorite and a great way to learn about fire safety and the heroes who keep our community safe! 👨‍🚒👩‍🚒 #CPSZebraPride #ClaremontElementary

🤖🔧 STEM Club Sparks Creativity! Last week, STEM Club welcomed Michelle Rahn from the Tulsa Regional STEM Alliance, who brought along DIY robotic kits for an exciting hands-on challenge! Students were tasked with designing and building their own robots, making sure to include a light, a battery, and a motor in their creations. After much innovation and problem-solving, two lucky winners took home an At-Home STEM Kit to keep the learning going! 🏆💡 Big thanks to TRSA for inspiring our future engineers! #CPSZebraPride #STEMClub

🧪🌿 Biology Comes to Life at RSU Nature Reserve! After three immersive trips studying the balance of life, our biology students wrapped up their field experience with a deep dive into an aquatic ecosystem at the RSU Nature Reserve. 🌊🐟 Students explored firsthand how ecosystems function—measuring abiotic factors like water temperature and light, while observing biotic interactions between plants, insects, and fish. From textbooks to trout streams, this final adventure made science come alive in the best way—through real-world discovery! 🧠🌎 #CPSZebraPride

OSSAA PSA - MEMORANDUM Date: May 20, 2025 To: Public From: OSSAA Subject: Public Service Announcement – One-Time Change of School Hardship Waiver To be eligible for a one-time change of school hardship, students must submit a Student Transfer Application through the State Department of Education’s website between June 1st and July 15th. If a student is returning to their home district, the school must provide documentation showing the student began the enrollment process on or before July 15th. Details of the criteria can be found on the OSSAA Website under “One Time Change of School Hardship Criteria.” Students who miss the July 15th deadline will not be granted a hardship under the “one-time change of school” criteria. A hardship waiver submitted after the deadline must demonstrate an unusual, unforeseen, or unavoidable circumstance that compelled the student to change schools. Once the student has begun the enrollment process, the school is responsible for submitting the hardship waiver to the OSSAA.
