Westside Elementary 5th graders participated in a music lesson with Joey Duffy from the Tulsa-based rock band, Cliffdiver. Joey talked about his musical influences, recording music, and what it's like to be in a band traveling the country playing music.
The kids got to ask lots of questions and had a great time hearing some amazing stories.
Thank you Joey for making time to connect with our students and sharing ways music can be a potential career path & and a way of life. Music teacher, Mr. Levesque set up this experience for students to get inspired and learn more about music! rock on, Zebras!🦓🎼🎸

Claremore High School offers many Career Tech programs and has approximately 250 students involved, between CHS agricultural education, family and consumer sciences, and cooperative programs at Northeast Technology Center.
These programs provide students with outlets and opportunities to explore their passions and prepare for their futures. Among the many individuals preparing for life after graduation here is Gabriella Stinson, a CHS student pursuing a certification in cosmetology.
Gabriella Stinson is a CHS student involved in the NTC cosmetology program, where she's developing her skills and knowledge. Fueled by a childhood passion for hairstyling and nail art, Gabriella's journey is marked by her love for learning and serving clients while still in school. She has learned about safety, sanitation, and identifying disorders while developing communication and cosmetology skills. Gabriella's advice for prospective students is the importance of balancing classroom studies with practical experience and fostering positive relationships. As she continues to pursue her goals, Gabriella embodies Claremore Public Schools' commitment to preparing students for success in the professional world after high school.❤📚💇🏻♀️

Earlier this year, 8 dedicated Claremore FFA officers embarked on an enriching journey to the Lead 360 Leadership Conference at Camp Cargill, fueled by enthusiasm and a keen readiness to dive into two days of intensive leadership development. This immersive conference was designed to enhance their leadership abilities and deepen their understanding of the myriad opportunities FFA offers. As they navigated through various workshops and activities, these students were on a quest to forge new memories and friendships, laying a solid foundation for their future endeavors.
The connection between leadership skills and success cannot be overstated. By focusing on developing these essential skills, the Claremore FFA officers prepare themselves to be effective leaders in their communities and beyond. Leadership is more than just guiding others; it inspires change, fosters innovation, and drives progress. These qualities are indispensable in today's dynamic world, where leaders must navigate complex challenges and lead by example.
Through their participation in the Lead 360 Leadership Conference, these officers are enhancing their ability to lead and learn how to empower others, build resilient teams, and positively impact the agricultural sector and beyond. Their journey at Camp Cargill is a testament to the powerful role that leadership skills play in paving the way for personal and professional success, demonstrating that tomorrow's leaders invest in their growth today.

🎉✨ Transforming classic fun into learning: It's not UNO, it's U-KNOW in Mrs. Wiley's class! 📚🃏 Our innovative twist on the beloved game now has students matching text structures instead of just colors and numbers. This engaging method makes learning about organizing and presenting information exciting and reinforces the educational concept that learning can be as fun as playing your favorite game. It's UNO meets a reading comprehension lesson, proving that the best lessons are the ones where you don't realize you're learning because you're having too much fun!
