1st graders at Claremont read Pumpkin Jack in Mrs. Peck's class, then carved a pumpkin of their own. Now they're going observe the changes that the pumpkin goes through as it decomposes.

A group of Claremore students loaded up on the Zebra bus to eat lunch at Pizza Hut. These students raised dough for the dough by selling 25 or more fundraiser items. They had a wonderful time!
We also got to celebrate our top two sellers and this year's Westside prince and princess, Dallas White and Finley Faulconer. These students worked extremely hard to reach their selling goals. We are so proud!

Science classes at WRJH are studying heat transfer. In WIN class, they made solar bags to show heat transfer, energy transformation and convection. Next up are SOLAR OVENS!

Mrs. Maxville and her 5th grade Science Classes did a lab over States of Matter. The students mixed cornstarch and water and observed that the "goop" has properties of both a solid and a liquid.

RSU athletes helped Westside students in the gym. Students were able to join their fun volunteers by rotating in exercise stations. They were also able to climb the rock wall! Thanks to our volunteers for all their help and support.

Mrs. Classen's class blows us away with the delicious treats they make during their Friday lessons. These Westside students have made bread and butter from scratch, delicious cookies and more! 4th-grade Claremont students learned how painting can be done with more than just a paintbrush! Mrs. Francis led students through a guided practice painting with plastic forks, and Mrs. Bear lent a hand!

2nd grade students at Claremont were challenged to complete a handwriting packet during the month of September - with the reward of a party at the end of the month for all who completed and turned in their packets! These are just some of the students who got to participate in the Ice Cream Party!

Pre-K students love to make letters out of playdough! During their classroom center rotations, PK students get to take what they have learned and put it into practice in hands-on ways. They have 'dough' much fun!

Mrs. Rahn & Mrs Tietz took WRJH STEM students to the Women in Science Conference at the Science Museum Oklahoma in OKC where they explored STEM & Science concepts with hands on learning and spoke to different colleges & universities about the different majors they offer in STEM fields. They also participated in an interactive panel session with women who have careers in meteorology, aviation, and forensics.
It was a great day of learning!

The leaves are beginning to fall outside, but the Westside creativity tree is as full as ever. As a schoolwide project, Mr. McClurg allowed every art student to create their own unique leaf. What was once a bare tree trunk, has turned into a stunning collaboration!
