Who remembers playing the recorder in elementary school? This unit is usually a favorite memory for our 4th graders. A musical recorder is a woodwind instrument with eight finger holes played like a whistle. Claremore music classes practice notes and scales on the recorders. We may have some future band members getting their start during these lessons. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

After studying text features, first grade faced the challenge of completing a text feature escape room! 🔑 In order to escape the classroom for an extra recess, students had to match the correct riddles to the corresponding boxes. Inside the boxes, the students found hidden puzzle pieces. After earning all the puzzle pieces, the classroom completed the puzzle to escape the room! 🧩 #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Students in Native American Club have been learning about the significance of beadwork in Native American cultures. Mr. McClurg is teaching students how to design and make their own bracelets. The small beads and intricate details challenge these students and make the project worthwhile. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Roosa Elementary was named a Certified Healthy Oklahoma School of Excellence again this year! Certified Healthy recipients are recognized as leaders in their communities for going “above and beyond” to make health and wellness a priority. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

In Mrs. Simmond's class, students are using Science Stations to solidify Plate Boundary movement and the resulting landforms. This helps to reach all learning styles and make learning a concept fun! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

❤US Marines Band (jazz ensemble) from Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in California stopped by Claremore's Performing Arts Center to perform for Cadets and students! 🤍The Marines are touring the country. They are in search of people that want to serve their country and also be professional musicians. 🎵 💙They put on a fantastic concert, engaging students and cadets, even having a few of our own CHS student musicians participate on stage!! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Claremore Public Schools wants to partner with parents and guardians to accomplish our District goals for ALL students: to raise student achievement, close the achievement gap, provide educational equity, and ensure a safe educational environment. Our friends from the Oklahoma State Department of Health came by to present Nurse Shea and Catalayah with the Award of Excellence🏆 Catalayah has received the Award of Excellence (which is the highest award!) 3 years in a row!!! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

🤖 WRJH Robotics have been busy! 🏆Last weekend, they had a tournament and one of our teams won the Design Award and another team won the Excellence Award! Not to mention we also won the whole tournament! 🏆There was another tournament this weekend, and all teams represented WJRH well by winning the Skills Champion and Design Award! 👏Congratulations to our Robotics teams and Mr. Isenbart!
