Setting the stage for success. FUZE / Freshman orientation at Claremore High School is about more than showing students around the building. It's about forming relationships, creating culture, and sharing a few laughs along the way. It's about building the #CPSZEBRAPRIDE!
It does not end with Freshman Orientation. FUZE mentors will continue to host events for the freshman class throughout the year to help them acclimate to their new high school life.




Senior Kai Shultz finished his summer by wrestling for team USA in Szarvas, Hungary. He captured 2nd place at a 10-country international world team Freestyle Wrestling Tournament and continued to train with the European world teams at a training camp while he was there.

Two generations of #CPSZEBRAPRIDE in this #ZebraTravelDiaries entry; Adison Couch and her mom, Jodi, on the continental divide in Creede, Colorado! Adison and her family are on a four-wheeling trip in Colorado exploring the Rocky Mountains. She will be a first grader this year and is sporting her Roosa shirt! Her mom, Jodi, is an alum who graduated in ‘09.

Michele Bright, CHS Science Teacher, and her husband took their #CPSZEBRAPRIDE to her favorite places on Earth: Disney World, Ormond Beach, Gatlinburg, and Indian Shores Beach. She was able to obtain some wonderful videos and materials for her Environmental Science Class.
It is going to be another great year to be a CHS Zebra!!!

Brenda Hall, the Catalayah/Westside Innovation Lab Facilitator, and her husband Barry, a CHS paraprofessional, took their #CPSZEBRAPRIDE on the road to 8 different states meeting up with friends and family along the way.

Mrs. Renee Bransetter, a CHS teacher, took her #CPSZEBRAPRIDE to Anchorage, AK, to visit her daughter and son-in-law. They traveled north to Talkeetna, AK, where she was able to take the pic of Mt. Denali; Hatcher Pass to Independence Mine (gold mine); Soldotna to salmon fish on the Kenai River; and finally to Homer, ferried across Kachemak Bay to Seldovia.
Hiking on Matanuska Glacier was epic and her favorite part of the trip.

Parker and his 11u BBA Titans made it to the semifinals in the championship bracket Youth Baseball World Series in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, this summer.
The future looks bright for Zebra Baseball in entry into the @ZebraTravelDiaries. Mrs. Kristen Bradfield is a Kindergarten teacher at Claremont.

Mrs. Stephanie Castle has been sporting her #CPSZEBRAPRIDE since her days as a Claremore cheerleader. This entry of the #ZebraTravelDiaries has Mrs. Castle relaxing in Perdido Key, FL. Mrs. Castle has taught at WRJH, Claremont, and will now be a 3rd-grade teacher at Catalayah.

Many hands make for light work, but a joyful heart makes that work even easier.
These CHS NHS members and Catalayah graduates took time this week to help their former teachers (Mrs. Ward & Mrs. Lewis) put together their classrooms for the start of school. Three of them had Mrs. Lewis in first grade, and they shared their favorite memories from their time with her while working! THIS is community! THIS is Zebra Family!
