Claremore High School’s Bio-Med class is investigating a mysterious incident for their assignment! Mr. Riggs has set up a crime scene for students to investigate. He put numbered cards on a taped-out body with a piece of evidence by them. He will show his students how to answer what happened to the victim and how.
Students will do a variety of tests from blood to a polygraph. This activity will help students better understand if the forensic science route is for them.

At Westside Elementary, Miss Taber & her 4th graders have been practicing their writing skills and gratitude.
She had her students do a Thankful Thursday assignment. Students utilized their writing skills and wrote about people they feel thankful for & then shared why they feel grateful for those people! Keep up the good work Westies!❤️🦓🙌🏽

Early release for our kids means meeting time for our teachers. This time is excellent for lesson planning, district meetings, and sharing ideas with our teacher friends across the district.
Professional learning communities (PLCs) are a collaborative approach to professional development. Small groups of educators meet regularly to explore new concepts, share expertise and insights from their teaching experiences, and engage in collective problem-solving.
We are lucky we have this time and the technology to meet with teachers from all over the district to maximize our time together.

What a simple, but powerful concept! Over at Westside teachers gather and worked together to lead this meaningful and fun group project. All staff members got to get into some paint to leave their mark on this one!
Every single staff member from teachers, custodians, instructional assistants, cafeteria staff, and principals at all of our sites plays a part and have a hand in helping students in becoming their best selves & finding personal success. This was represented through this project and we just love it!! We love seeing Westside showcase kindness and have a reminder for all students going into the new year!
