Dr. Butler brings a wealth of experience and a deep-seated passion for alternative education, making her an invaluable addition to the Zebra family. "I am thrilled to join Claremore High School and lead the alternative learning program," said Dr. Butler. "I have always believed in the power of alternative education to transform lives by providing students with opportunities to learn outside the traditional classroom setting. I absolutely loved my teachers in high school, and with that, it is so rewarding to come back to work alongside incredible people in my new season of life. I am very fortunate in my position that I get to travel to the sites and meet many wonderful people passionate about education and our students. This is such a special school district, and I am so thankful I get to be apart of telling that story! 💭What is one of your favorite memories from being a CPS student? I have many fond memories of my time at CHS, most of which relate to my time in extracurriculars, as NHS President, running track & being a wrestling manager, and the many other activities I was involved in! I also always loved float building during HoCo week! 👩🏻‍🏫Who was your favorite Teacher & class? I had many wonderful teachers, particularly Ms. Farbes (now Mrs. McCammon), Mrs. Brace, and Ms. Lahr! Ms. Farbes' AP Euro & Pre-APUSH classes were hands down my favorite; I have the best memories in those classes, her as a teacher, and the fabulous music she would play! 📣What was your favorite extracurricular? I enjoyed running track, being a wrestling manager, and participating in many events with NHS. I was involved in everything I could be, and I stayed very busy! ⭐What was trending when you graduated? Clothes, songs, movies, etc. I was in the last semester of my senior year right when the pandemic happened, so TikTok was taking off, and Tiger King was very popular lol. Since I didn't graduate too long ago, I’d say most trends are still the same! #cpszebrapride

Zebra Travel Diaries entry #36 coming in from Missouri!🦓🏔 Here we have Axel (5th grader at Catalayah), Ruby (4th grader at Catalayah), Sadie (going to 3rd grade this fall at Catalayah), and Owen Wilson who just graduated CHS and going to OU &Air National Guard training this fall.🦓 The Wilsons took a weekend trip up to the “Show Me State” of Missouri where they explored caves, rode Ozark mountain coasters, and made new friends that were "out of this world". PSA - FREE TENNIS SHOES "Cedar Point will host its third annual LACE UP event on Saturday, August 3, from 10AM to 12PM! This will be an opportunity for kids in need to receive a new pair of name-brand sneakers to start the school year off with confidence!
