🦓❤🎓COUNTDOWN TO GRADUATION - 5 Days brought to you by the Mudds!
Mr. David Mudd is the assistant principal at Claremont Elementary. He has been a staff member at CPS for 8 years. Mrs. Vanessa Mudd, CPS’s technology instructional specialist, shares her fondest memory from Nick’s time at Claremore: “Ms. Moss once told me about a time when she came into the building with a handful of devices, and Nick came and opened the door for her. Hearing that he’s being a gentleman makes my heart happy.” They are both grateful for Mrs. Huddleston’s role in shaping Nick into the student and person he is today.
Nicholas Mudd kicked off his Zebra career as a seventh-grader at the junior high before continuing on to CHS. During high school, he was an active member of the Art Club and enjoyed taking visual art classes. His dad and stepmother encouraged this passion and displayed his artwork everywhere they could. He shares that one time when he went to visit Vanessa, the art he made was displayed sideways - allowing them both a good laugh! His favorite memories stem from these programs: “I have enjoyed my Graphic Design class. It allowed me the opportunity to make stickers for prom, business cards for several of the clubs, and design a logo for a shirt.” He will forever cherish his “father and stepmother for helping me get ready for prom, and then running around town with me to get pictures before I had to leave.” It's been a memorable 6 years for Nicholas as part of our Zebra Dazzle!

Ms. Sommer Faulconer is the physical education teacher at Westside Elementary, where she has taught for 13 years. A cherished memory she has from Peyton’s time at school was when he “was the top runner in running club for several years at Catalayah.” She recognizes Ms. Jeannie Seidel for the drastic role she had in shaping Peyton’s future.
Peyton began his journey as a Zebra in kindergarten at Catalayah Elementary, later going to WRJH and CHS. He was a diligent member of the Christian Club, Young Republicans, and the Career Development program. Like his mother, Peyton’s precious memories are rooted in “being involved in the running club at Catalayah Elementary. Catalayah’s running club sparked my love for setting and achieving goals, setting me on a path of growing my work ethic to make me the person I am today.” A special moment he had at the high school was “when my dad, Jeff Faulconer, started ZTV, I had the opportunity to be in one of the lip dubs.” The place the Faulconers hold within our Zebra Family will last indefinitely; after all - Once a Zebra, Always a Zebra!

🦓❤️🎓COUNTDOWN TO GRADUATION - 10 Days brought to you by the Vanamans!
Ms. Cindy Vanaman is one of the counselors at Claremore High School, where she has been for 10 years. One of her favorite moments with Annabelle was when “Annabelle needed to be checked out for a doctor's appointment, and Officer Sandusky offered to get her. He went to the door with handcuffs out and announced that he needed to see Annabelle Vanaman. Having your mom in the building is both a blessing and a curse!” She shares that “all the teachers Annabelle has had have influenced her in different ways, at different times in her high school career. Mr. Castillo has probably been her favorite teacher. Coach Cope definitely influenced her most, helping shape her into the woman she is today.”
Annabelle began her Zebra career during her freshman year at Claremore High School, which allowed her to graduate on the same stage as her dad did in 1984 (40 years later). While at school, she participated in many clubs and opportunities available to our high school students: Athletic Training, Concurrent classes, FCA, Spirit Squad, Student Council, AP Classes, and was a player on the girls’ basketball team. What she loves most about being part of the Zebra Family is “the positive environment created by the faculty and students.” A special part of having her mom at CPS with her is being able to “get snacks out of my mom’s office every day.” It's been a memorable 4 years for Annabelle as part of our Zebra Dazzle!
