Zebs shared a legendary piece of history with Dazzle today—the story of how Claremore High School became home to the one and only Zebra mascot! 🦓
It all started in the 1920s when the football team debuted their new striped jerseys. A spectator remarked, "They look like a bunch of zebras," and the name stuck! Did you know the original stripes were purple and gold? 💜💛
By 1930, Superintendent Homer C. Heard kept costs down by ordering more affordable red shirts and white khaki pants. That decision established the red and white school colors we proudly wear today! ❤️🤍 Claremore remains the only school in Oklahoma with a Zebra mascot—talk about unique! 🎉

Claremont 3rd graders spent a morning at the Will Rogers Museum’s annual Kid’s Day! They enjoyed various activities, including Cherokee storytelling, a magic show, Will Rogers storytelling, and a sing-along. 🎤✨

Westside Elementary Pre-k students had their very own "Friendsgiving". Students wrote compliments to each other on place mats for them to use at home. Claremont Elementary Fourth graders made homemade butter! The students enjoyed the project, and some even said they wanted to try making their own recipes at home! We love seeing hands on lessons that are also tasty!🦓🍞
