Let’s welcome Mathew Pettus to the Zebra family in today’s New Teacher Feature! Mathew Pettus is an Oklahoma History and Geography teacher at Claremore High School. He graduated from Northeastern State University with a Bachelor's in Science and played football. A fun fact is that he was on his high school's national champion cheer squad. This is his first year teaching! Claremore NJROTC Takes Flight at McConnell AFB Airshow! 🚀✈️ Claremore Navy JROTC cadets had the opportunity to travel to McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita, KS, for the annual airshow featuring the legendary US Navy Blue Angels. They partnered with Del City NJROTC, led by US Navy CAPTAIN John "Irish" Keilty, whose son, Lieutenant Commander Jack "Rico" Keilty, is currently serving as an F/A-18 Super Hornet Blue Angel! Our cadets enjoyed an awe-inspiring performance by the Blue Angels and witnessed the power and precision of the F-35 Lightning and A-10 Thunderbolts. The day was filled with excitement, learning, and camaraderie, highlighting the endless possibilities in aviation, STEM, the US Military, and the importance of teamwork. What a way to kick off the school year! 💪🌟 #CPSZEBRAPRIDE
