ATTENTION CATALAYAH FAMILIES
School starts Tuesday, August 20 in Claremore. Due to the ODOT closure at the intersection of Hwy 66 and eastbound King Road, traffic entering and exiting Catalayah Elementary will be impacted.
Claremore Public Schools has established an alternate route for dropping off and picking up students.
If possible, consider using the school bus for transportation.
CAR RIDERS—Exit Hwy 66 west onto Country Club. Turn south on Southhaven. Turn east on King Road and continue towards King Road Baptist Church. Turn left into the KRBC parking lot to turn around. Head back west on King Road towards Catalayah. Turn right into the east parking lot for drop-off and pick-up. After drop-off/pick-up, turn west to exit the parking lot.
The Claremore Police Department will monitor school zones to ensure the safety of the students as they head to school next week.

❤What has been your favorite part about returning as a staff member?
The people. Everyone works together. We all want the best for our students, colleagues, and school district. We are dedicated to educating our students and up for improving our teaching methods. My favorite part about returning as a staff member is that I can collaborate with the teachers I had as a CHS student. I remember what their classes were like and what I enjoyed about them in school, and I can apply that in my own classroom now. I also feel more connected to my students because I know what it is like to be a student at CHS, and now I can give them the same encouragement that I was given that helped me succeed.
💭What is one of your favorite memories from being a CPS student?
I have so many great memories as a student at CPS. I have always loved learning and being in school - it has always felt like a second home. One of my favorite memories is Mrs. Rawson's Fourth Grade class. I loved the Long Division Unit! We would have a few warm-up problems, and the four of us at my table would all race to see who could complete the problems the fastest.
👩🏻🏫What was your favorite class?
My favorite class was Honors Trigonometry!
📣What was your favorite extracurricular?
I was on the Archery Team from 7th grade through 12th grade. We practiced before and after school. The team always encouraged one another, and gave tips on how to get better during our competitions. We always had a great time together when we traveled to the state competition.
⭐What was trending when you graduated? Clothes, songs, movies, etc.
Clothes: American Eagle & Abercrombie & Fitch
Songs that I remember being popular: Happy by Pharrel Williams, Counting Stars by OneRepublic
I didn't stay up with the trends 😂
