🦓❤️🎓COUNTDOWN TO GRADUATION - 8 Days brought to you by the Faulconers!
Ms. Sommer Faulconer is the physical education teacher at Westside Elementary, where she has taught for 13 years. A cherished memory she has from Peyton’s time at school was when he “was the top runner in running club for several years at Catalayah.” She recognizes Ms. Jeannie Seidel for the drastic role she had in shaping Peyton’s future.
Peyton began his journey as a Zebra in kindergarten at Catalayah Elementary, later going to WRJH and CHS. He was a diligent member of the Christian Club, Young Republicans, and the Career Development program. Like his mother, Peyton’s precious memories are rooted in “being involved in the running club at Catalayah Elementary. Catalayah’s running club sparked my love for setting and achieving goals, setting me on a path of growing my work ethic to make me the person I am today.” A special moment he had at the high school was “when my dad, Jeff Faulconer, started ZTV, I had the opportunity to be in one of the lip dubs.” The place the Faulconers hold within our Zebra Family will last indefinitely; after all - Once a Zebra, Always a Zebra!

🦓❤️🎓COUNTDOWN TO GRADUATION - 9 Days brought to you by the Combs!
Ms. Mollie Combs has been an instructional assistant for 2 years at Catalayah Elementary. When reflecting on Brennan's school years, she recalls how she “had to warn his elementary teachers he likes to talk, it doesn’t matter to who he has he has just always been so outgoing.” She acknowledges Mrs. Book for the lasting memories he made in her class: “He still talks about how much fun he had that year in 1st grade. Mrs. Book and Brennan enjoyed giving Mrs. Davis a hard time for being an OU fan when we all know that OSU is better.”
A Zebra since Pre-K, Brennan attended Roosa, WRJH, and CHS. He is an athlete for Zebra Baseball and is grateful to CPS for allowing him to form so many lasting friendships over the years. A special memory he has had with his mom at school was “going to Catalayah and being able to hang out with her students.” It has been a fun and unforgettable 13 years for Brennan as a Zebra!

🦓❤️🎓COUNTDOWN TO GRADUATION - 10 Days brought to you by the Vanamans!
Ms. Cindy Vanaman is one of the counselors at Claremore High School, where she has been for 10 years. One of her favorite moments with Annabelle was when “Annabelle needed to be checked out for a doctor's appointment, and Officer Sandusky offered to get her. He went to the door with handcuffs out and announced that he needed to see Annabelle Vanaman. Having your mom in the building is both a blessing and a curse!” She shares that “all the teachers Annabelle has had have influenced her in different ways, at different times in her high school career. Mr. Castillo has probably been her favorite teacher. Coach Cope definitely influenced her most, helping shape her into the woman she is today.”
Annabelle began her Zebra career during her freshman year at Claremore High School, which allowed her to graduate on the same stage as her dad did in 1984 (40 years later). While at school, she participated in many clubs and opportunities available to our high school students: Athletic Training, Concurrent classes, FCA, Spirit Squad, Student Council, AP Classes, and was a player on the girls’ basketball team. What she loves most about being part of the Zebra Family is “the positive environment created by the faculty and students.” A special part of having her mom at CPS with her is being able to “get snacks out of my mom’s office every day.” It's been a memorable 4 years for Annabelle as part of our Zebra Dazzle!

🦓❤🎓COUNTDOWN TO GRADUATION - 11 Days brought to you by the Britos!
Mrs. Tiffani Brito is an instructional assistant at Westside Elementary, where she has been for 8 years. She appreciates the opportunities Claremore offers that have allowed her to “watch Kalin grow and excel in the engineering program at CHS. She has really been able to find something that she enjoys and wants to make a career out of. Through this program, she has met so many incredible people from all over. It has also helped improve her public speaking and leadership skills, which will help her in the future. This year, she became the president of SkillsUSA. They competed and won the State competition and are now hoping for a win at Nationals for the 3rd year in a row! All of her confidence and knowledge helped her gain early acceptance into OSU's Engineering Program.” She credits many notable teachers in our schools: “It’s so hard to narrow down the most impactful between Mrs. Andrews, Mrs. Steidley, and Mrs. Hammack. I would have to say Mrs. Hammack though, because she has always been so encouraging and helpful to Kalin in and out of the classroom. She always made sure that Kalin had a chance to experience every possibility available to her. She has helped Kalin see her full potential and reinforce what her Dad and I have always tried to tell her. We are so thankful that Mrs. Hammack is at CHS to help inspire others in the future, and are forever grateful for what she has done for our daughter!”
Kalin Brito hit the ground running as a kindergartener at Westside Elementary, later continuing to WRJH and CHS. In a short 11 days, she will be graduating on the same stage as her dad did in 2004. Kalin is not only on the Lady’s Basketball team, but an active member of the Astronomy Club, the Math Club, the Chemistry Club, SAGA, NTC, SkillsUSA, Young Democrats, and has taken challenging AP and concurrent courses. What she will remember most from her time at CPS will be her “experience in the Engineering program with my advisors, Mrs.Steidley and Ms.Hammack.” Her fondest memories with her mom stem from when she “had the same lunch as us in junior high. She would order food for my friends and I, and we would all hang out.” Kalin's influence and role within our Zebra Family will be remembered for years!
