Everything! Claremore is my home, and I love the Zebras! I love teaching with my teachers; that has been one of the best experiences!

Going to football games in high school!

$2 , 4 5 5 , 4 1 0 That is the amount of scholarships the Class of 2024 reported receiving this year.
The Rotary Club of Claremore has continually invested in our community and its future leaders. Their annual scholarship proves their commitment to broadening the opportunities for our graduates and their post-secondary education.
Six CPS seniors received $750 each from the Claremore Rotary, totaling a $4,500 investment.
Here are the recipients: Drew Mason, Meredith Andrews, Annabelle Vanaman, Owen Wilson and Mason Pixley.

The family feeling that Claremore has and the Zebra Pride!
💭What is one of your favorite memories from being a CPS student?
I remember the 1990 teacher walk-out.
👩🏻🏫What was your favorite class, or who was your favorite teacher?
11th grade English Terri Kruse. I remember an assignment where we had to write down lyrics to songs that would tell a story. Still to this day, I remember which songs the students in my class chose.
📣What was your favorite extracurricular?
Computers class
⭐What was trending when you graduated? Clothes, songs, movies, etc.
Youth gone wild by skid row. Ghost was a popular movie and shoulder pads and high top reeboks.

❤What has been your favorite part about returning as a staff member?
It just feels good to be home again! Once a ZEBRA, always a ZEBRA!! I love how Claremore Public Schools implements the 8 Great Expectations for living for our students. This teaches them character-building words such as respect and honesty and also to be creative and responsible within their society.
💭What is one of your favorite memories from being a CPS student?
My favorite memories of being a CPS student were my cheerleading years. I enjoyed attending the games and seeing the community come together to cheer on the football team!

My favorite teacher was Mr. Adams for Algebra.
📣What was your favorite extracurricular?
I was a Claremore Varsity Cheerleader and played soccer for the high school team.

Zebra Stripes Summer Camp The Zebra Stripes Summer Day Care Program is held during summer. Our program focuses on providing exceptional care for kindergarten through fifth grade. I've loved the opportunity to work alongside this incredible staff, many of which taught me. I love getting to work with raising the next generation for Claremore! I love how our school is the heartbeat of our community!

Being involved! Technology Student Association, Math Club, National Honor Society and more!

I enjoyed so many! All of my science and math classes were outstanding! Mrs. Garroutte and Mrs. Rader profoundly impacted me as a student.

I was the president of the Technology Student Association and Math Club.

I wore pretty much what I wear now. I remember listening to Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, and Trace Adkins.

The Smith Family Scholarship is for students pursuing post-secondary education in engineering or music. For their freshman year, students will receive $5,000 per semester, for a total of $10,000. This is a $50,000 investment in our graduates' futures.

I love the environment in which I get to teach every day. I also love working alongside several people who inspire me to teach and coach.
💭What is one of your favorite memories from being a CPS student?
The state tournament run in baseball in my junior year, 2017. We finished state runner-up in 2017 and state semifinalist in 2018.

❤What has been your favorite part about returning as a staff member?
I love that CPS is so united. When one of our schools, staff members, or students succeed, we all celebrate it as our own because we are one. The opportunity to serve our youth of the Claremore community gives me the greatest joy.
💭What is one of your favorite memories from being a CPS student?
My sister, Shaye Rowlett, was a senior the year I was a freshman. We locked down the middle infield positions and played side by side for the Lady Zebra softball team. That year was particularly special because of that, but the fun, success, and lifelong friendships from those four years of competing as a team gave me some of my greatest memories.
👩🏻🏫Who was your favorite Teacher?
Cindy Hammack is an incredible math teacher! She makes understanding difficult math skills an easy task.
📣What was your favorite extracurricular?
Playing softball during my junior and senior years, our team won back-to-back state championships.

The artist Jay Z was becoming popular.
