At Catalayah Elementary, Mrs. Thomas and her Native American Club made Buffalo Hide stories!
Buffalo hides were used as blankets, saddles, or as trade items by the Native Americans. Some were painted with pictographs or winter counts that depict important events. 🦓❤

The CHS AP Art Showcase is open to the public until January 12th, 2024, in the lobby of the Robson PAC during regular operational hours. Discover the works of these remarkable students; some are already celebrated as award-winning artists, while others are poised to make their mark in the world of art. These portfolios will soon embark on their own journey as a select group of art teachers nationwide meticulously reviews them with the potential to earn valuable college credits.

Westside students in Ms. Taber’s 4th-grade science class were doing major research & presented about natural disasters. 🌧🌋⚡
The students were put in small groups where they used their devices to research facts & information on their group’s topic. The groups used teamwork to develop their presentation, to create a poster to present to their whole class & they grew their public speaking skills.
